Description:
The Norwegian Emigrant Museum is the national emigrant museum. It shows the life of Norwegian new settlers in the Mid West from the 19th century. The museum also contains the memorial church of the Norwegian immigrants, built in Minnesota in 1896. Various exhibitions on emigration and immigration. Every summer an Emigrant Festival is arranged, with concerts, talks and commemoration service for Norwegian emigrants all over the world. Soldiers from the American Civil War also visit the festival.
