Description: Forvaltergården (Administrator's Residence) was built in 1775 for the Director of Næs Jernverks in Tvedestrand. Later, the city's chemist was located here for 111 years. Tvedestrand Museum now exhibits replicas of a general store in the building. The interiors are furnished with objects from the first half of the 20th Century. There are different theme exhibitions in the museum - at the moment one on Jørgen Løvland, Norways first Foreign Minister and one on the life of the gipsies. There is an art exhibition here, and there is a cafe in the garden in the summer.
