Description: Eide Gard is a renovated West Norway farmstead from the 19th century that emanates warmth and tradition, offering peace and quiet, a comfortable overnight stay and traditional food. It commands a view of the fjord as well as the mountains - and not to be forgotten the ardent afternoon sky. The Farmstead at Eide is the perfect place for those looking for the authentic old West Norway. Findings from the Stone Age bear witness of very old activity at Eide. In the Bronze Age people got more settled here. During the latest 150 years Eide Farm has been in charge by the same family. "Eldhuset", the cookhouse, was once the very centre of the courtyard - and still is. When the fire is lit in the open hearth, the candles are lit and you can order a meal here, very few would complain. The woodshed has been transformed into a "Gildeskål"; that is a place for social gatherings both large and small. From the farmstead there is a marked path to the mountains. In the mountain lakes there are possibilities for angling. Eide Farmstead is the perfect place for those looking for cultural tradition, peace and quiet.
