Description: Røros Church is an impressive stone building that towers above the wooden houses of Røros. The first church was built here in 1650, only four years after the first smelting cabin was built. After only 130 years the church was in such poor condition that it was replaced with the new stone church. It has around 1600 seats, and the bright interior has distinctive decorations.
